“Don’t let some common mistakes ruin your wedding day”

Every couple wants their wedding day to be a dream affair. The Utsavfx team will always do everything they can (and a little more) to give you the best day possible but there are still a few wedding day mistakes that too many couples make. No matter how hard you try to ensure that everything goes off without a hitch but some things are inevitable due to the heavy decisions that accompany weddings. You can’t control everything but there are mistakes and imperfections you can avoid making on your wedding day and won’t regret later.

1. RUNNING LATE AS YOU’RE GETTING READY

Oh yes, this happens far too often. One minute you are lingering with your hairstyle and makeup, the next you are panicking as it is the time to leave. Speak to your makeup artist in advance about how much time they need and ask them the numbers of booking they have on the same day. That way, if you feel the timings are tight, you can talk it through in advance of the day. It is advisable to not to book your beauty saloon too far from the venue otherwise you will run late especially at the hours when the road rush will be at its peak and this will add more stress to an already stressful situation.

Additionally, do not forget to check the space for your photoshoot in the parlor and ask them if they are charging extra for the shoot, this can avoid chaos at the last moment.

2. FORGET TO SAVE TIME FOR YOUR PHOTOSHOOT

As there is a specified time for every ritual, you should give some specified time to your photographer too. Keep in mind that you are getting married and this is a once in a lifetime moment for you and you cannot capture it again. Ask your family and friends to be ready at least 2 hours before the ceremony so you can have beautiful pictures with them in your wedding avatar. Your photographer already knows what to capture but make sure if you have any special requirements or special events to cover then discuss it with the photographer beforehand. Appoint someone for the photographer so that your loved ones will not be missed out from your wedding album.

3. CALLING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER BEFORE TIME

By hiring a photographer to capture your wedding, you’ll relive those special moments you may have missed on the day. But if you call your photographer before time then it might happen that he will not be able to capture your beautiful moments that you will definitely want to treasure for a lifetime. Too many brides make the mistake of letting their photographer wait for hours to capture the final moment.

4. RECHECK EVERYTHING ON THE WEDDING DAY/ IN ADVANCE

Recheck everything the day before your wedding, and it’s possible you may not get it in time. A few weeks before your wedding, write a wedding day handover. Include everything and anything of importance and that way, you’ll worry much less on the day. Really think through all the elements of your day – the wedding jaimalas, engagement rings, songs list, makeup artists, hotel bookings and many more.

5. STILL ORGANIZING OR PLANNING ON YOUR BIG DAY

Now this is the time for you to STOP PLANNING and just enjoy yourself. Delegate responsibility to someone you trust or hire a planner to help you. If something isn’t quite right, try not to let it upset your day as it is your big day and once-in-a-lifetime moment, don’t let anyone or anything ruin it.
